Christian Vieler (Germany) has worked as a full-time dog photographer since 2016. In addition to the funny snapshots he loves to get very close to dogs with intense head portraits. His set up is very basic with just one flash and an umbrella. He spends time with the dogs to get to know them and get comfortable in the space. Slowly getting the dogs used to a low-level flash first, the final shots are usually taken at shutter speeds around 1/8000th of a second.
