Gilbert Claes

About the artwork

Soft and simple, Gilbert Claes manages to create a feeling of softness in his architectural photography. Although seemingly all of this image is cement, there is a softness to the image, married with the glowing reflection of the sun on the window panes. Originally built in 1927, the Arenc Silo in Marseille, France is now partially transformed in opera and concert halls.
