Neon Desert 1

Stefano Gardel

About the artwork

This desert landscape by Switzerland-based Italian artist Stefano Gardel brings a surprisingly futuristic look to it, where the glow between the brown sand and blue sky is both beautiful and mysterious. The dunes now appear to be vitrified or made out of some foreign material. The colours are definitely reminiscent of the neon lights you might find in a bar or tattoo parlour sign, hence the name “Neon Desert”.
